Try the Fat X diet. It’s the healthy and effective.

exercise. as far as food goes, just keep it moderately healthy, and make sure you get vitamins, protein, etc. if you keep up a good exercise regimen, you will lose some weight (though not as much as a straight-up diet) but you will emerge stronger and leaner (which is, i assume, the point here) and, as a male, extra muscle mass isn’t a bad thing.
also-eating vegan at this stage probably isn’t a good thing. it can be difficult enough as it is for an adult to get the necessary nutrients, much less a teenage boy. eat meat for the protein(and energy-essential B-vitamins), but, like everything else, just don’t over do it. remember that some fats are necessary for health, and carbohydrates give energy. the problem is ingesting carbs that aren’t burnt though exercise.

My fiance is doing weight watchers and she has lost 16 pounds in 6 weeks. Its a complete eating habit change and is not unhealthy at all. You just have to stay on track with your points. If your willing to count your points honestly this would work for you too.
Hope this can help,
B
