I have a chubby stomach and just want to know how i can lose like 5 pounds in 1 week or at least make me skinnier. I don’t want to use liposuction or any crazy surgery just naturally. Are there any good diets that I can go on that would help with this? Thanks!!
The best way to lose weight or maintain a healthy weight is through changing your eating habits and exercising regularly.
1. Choose whole grains.
2. Drink plenty of water.
3. Choose lean meats and fish.
4. Know the portion sizes for your calorie target.
5. Limit fats to an average of 15 grams per meal.
6. Choose fresh fruits and vegetables whenever possible.
7. Work out for no less that 45 minutes, 4-5 days a week.
8. Select foods with less than 3 grams of fat per 100 calories.
9. Choose pretzels, baked chips, fat-free popcorn instead of fries and chips.
10. Avoid foods with partially hydrogenated oils, trans-fats and high-fructose corn syrup.
11. Choose cereal, bread, crackers or chips that contain 2 or more grams of fiber per 100 calories.
12. Choose fat-free or low-fat variety of foods especially when it comes to dairy products (milk, cheese, and yogurt).

— Raw Corn on the Cob (yes, totally raw, NOT even so much as lightly steamed…although if you need to steam them, we won’t tell anyone…)
— Beefsteak Tomatoes
— Cucumbers*
— 1 bunch of Cilantro
— 1 Lime
*unpeeled if organic; peeled if inorganic
* P r e p a r a t i o n *
— 1) Shuck the corn, and lay out on what will be each person’s lunch or dinner plate.
— 2) Slice the beefsteak tomatoes into very large pieces & slice the cucumbers lengthwise into quarters, setting all sliced tomatoes & cucumbers along side the shucked ears of corn.
— 3) Chop the cilantro into large pieces, and divide among all of the plates as well.
— 4) Use a manual citrus juicer or a citrus hand juicer to squeeze the juice of the lime over everything on each plate, but concentrating most heavily on the cilantro and the corn.
— 5) Serve, and enjoy!

“Diet” is a four letter word, remove it from your vocabulary! If you go ON a diet, you will eventually have to come OFF it and when you do, your weight will rebound .
Make small, doable changes – not epic efforts doomed to failure. Small changes in our nutrition and lifestyle can make a huge difference over a year. For example:
— two slices toast instead of a daily donut – lose 15lbs fat in a year
— soda water instead of a daily coke – lose 15lbs fat in a year
— baked potato instead of daily french fries – lose 40lbs fat in a year
— walk 20 minutes a day – lose 10lbs fat in a year
The beauty of these little changes is that each one is easy but they all add up to make a huge difference. Just promise that you will walk at least 20min a day and choose 2 or 3 of the unhealthy things you eat on a daily basis and replace them with a healthy alternative. Just promise yourself that you will do them for one full month, anybody can live without french fries for one month! Just take it one day at a time, cross the days off on a calendar if you want. A wonderful thing will happen after a month, your new healthy habits will have formed! You will already feel better and have more energy, people will start complimenting you and you will be STOKED! You might even find that you are so excited about how good you feel that you choose to start walking 30min instead of 20minutes for the next month! You might even be inspired to buy a cheap used set of weights and start some strength training. Just take it one month at a time and slowly build upon your success, dont try to do everything all at once.

Step 1: Become a Mii
Get Wii Fit and follow the directions to set up a Mii, a virtual alter ego that will keep track of your fitness stats and chart your progress.
Step 2: Go for the aerobics
Focus on the aerobic activities. Yoga and balance games will help you get fit, and strength training will build muscles that burn calories more efficiently, but aerobic exercises are the most direct route to weight loss.
Step 3: Start dancing
Start boogying to “Dance Dance Revolution:” Research shows that people burn about 172 calories per half hour on light mode, 201 on standard, and 243 on difficult.
Tip: Find a dance partner to challenge to a daily virtual dance-off.
Step 4: Get sporty
If dancing is not your thing, try Wii Sports. One study found that Wii boxing burned an impressive 216 calories per 30 minutes. Tennis came next, at 159 calories per half hour, followed by baseball, at 135 calories for every 30 minutes of play.
Tip: Golf burned the fewest calories—93 per half hour—followed by bowling, at 117 calories per 30 minutes.
Step 5: Get into a routine
Type the words “Wii weight loss program” into a search engine; you’ll find regimens devised by users who have successfully lost weight using their Wii.
Step 6: Play often
Play every day if you can. Because Wii activities burn fewer calories than their real-life counterparts, you’ll need to play more often to get results.

An external frame pack will serve most backpackers needs. In fact its usually the best choice vs an internal frame pack despite what many biased salesman and outdoor magazines promote. Thanks to such disinformation, the frame pack is often thought of as a old-fashioned and outdated packing option and the shelves of todays outdoor stores reflect that misguided philosophy. Large frame packs, carrying around 5000 cubic inches, are hard to find and usually have to be ordered off the Internet, if you can find one. Thats too bad because the large frame pack is indeed problem solver for extended trips. Nutnfancys reference large frame backpack is the outstanding Kelty Super Tioga, proven on many an expedition into the high country. Sadly its been superceded by subsequent models (however Tiogas are still available under different nomenclatures) but a review of its features in this three part series could help perspective pack buyers to home in on similarly equipped frame packs. And a pack like this is usually necessary to accommodate large amounts of gear needed for 5 day plus trips (unless minimalist gear is carried). It has lots of advantages over an internal frame pack: lashing capability to frame for all kinds of gear, easier to pack, compartmentalization and pockets aid organization and proper weight distribution, pockets with with a flow-thru back will secure long items (like guns, fishing poles, paddles, saws, etc), excellent ventilation behind back, rigidity of frame provides easier off-back carry and prop up at campsite, bottom frame rung balances pack well during rest breaks (and protects sleeping bag), and its generally more comfortable under portage with heavy loads. The stated cubic capacity of a large frame pack, in the Super Tiogas case 4750 cubes, is actually misleadingits more. Thats because your tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad(s), and lashed gear do NOT take up internal packbag space like with an internal frame pack. And this Super Tioga, built strongly with the best materials, is like a tank in durability. Its not unusual for Kelty Tioga users to use their packs for decades and hand them down to the next generation. Thats a well-made pack. But its not perfect. For that durability you might carry some extra weight, translated from the aluminum frame, zippers, and heavy duty packcloth. The suspension system on this pack is outstanding: comfortable, adaptive, and rugged. Finally the track record, from Nutnfancys own use, is superb with excellent Kelty factory support which at one point came directly from its president (!). There are a lot of great brands out there and Kelty is just one of them. But Kelty has never abandoned the excellence of the frame pack in pursuit of trendiness because they know it just works and they know knowledgeable adventurers will always seek one out for lengthy adventures.
